He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Schwartz and Marjorie Schwartz (Kennedy); and his sister Kandie Dopkowski. He is survived by : his wife Nora Saylor; his daughter Nicole Lapenas; his granddaughter Madelyn Lapenas; his sister Jackie Cavera; and his half-brothers, Chuck and George Miller.
