He was predeceased by: his parents, George Beer, Sr. and Veronica Beer; his siblings, Ray Beer (Marie), Clarence Beer (Florence), Eleanor Wessling (Vince), JoAnn Beer and Marilyn Jansen (Dave); his parents-in-law, Jim and Theresa Schaefer; his stepmother-in-law Vera Schaefer (Ritcher); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Schaefer and Bernard Schaefer.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Bonnie Stoff (Jim) of Highland, Yvonne Schulte (Jim) of Belleville, Jan Wessel (Nick) of St. Rose, Anita Weber (Sean) of Flower Mound, TX and Marsha Ratermann (Doug) of Walcott, IA; his grandchildren, Jason Stoff (Angela Rickard), Brian Stoff (Amy), Eric Stoff (Brooke), Meredith Osgood (Jeremy), Cameron Schulte (Ellen), Adam Wessel (Ashley), Danielle Weber (Neal), Katie Lievers (Jacob), Sydney Weber, Cheyenne Vasquez (Justin), Leah Ratermann, Abby Ratermann and Emily Ratermann; his brother George Beer, Jr. of Iuka; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Schaefer, Sally Schaefer, Ann Frey (Phil), Rita Thole (Paul), Henry Schaefer (Margie) and Richard Schaefer. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Boniface Church, St. Boniface Cemetery, or the Germantown Fire Department, and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th Street, Breese, IL 62230, which is serving the family.
