We are sad to announce that on June 17, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Benjamin Downey of Gibson City, Illinois, born in Ina, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Everett Downey and Myrtle Nicholson Downey; his wife Teresa Scott of Gibson City; his children, Derek Downey of Gibson City and Aimee Nugent (David) of Gibson City; his grandchildren, Chelsey, Ashley, Kayla and DJ; his great grandchild Journee; and his siblings, Katherine Mott and James Downey. He was also cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren and many, many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration in Danville.
