He was predeceased by : his parents, Elton Bane and Velda Bane (Jordan); his grandson Colin Bane; his pet Flash; his son Gary Anthony Bane; and his siblings, Melvin Bane, Sarepta "Bonnie" DeAtley, James Bane and Phyllis McCreary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Colin Bane Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Bank of Gibson City.
