With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger W. Ward of Gibson City, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 70. Though Roger may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Roger touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Ward and Margie Porter Ward; and his son Jason Coker. He is survived by: his wife Teri Ward of Indianapolis; his daughters, Tiffany Whelchel of Gibson City and Shannon Figueroa (Pedro) of Indianapolis; and his sister Dorothy Beck (Randy) of Florida. He is also survived by three nieces, five nephews and many cousins.
