With sadness, we share the passing of Carol Jane (Stade) Leitner of Gilberts, Illinois. Carol Jane, born on October 31, 1946, passed away on August 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Stade and Helen Stade (Poehls); her siblings, Myrtle Stade, Lauretta Voelkner (Ervin), Edwin Stade (Betty), Verna Wetterman (Glenn), Linda Rippy (Dick), Paula Hellmann (Herb) and Diane Buhrow; and her in-laws, Carol Ann Leitner and Jack Leitner.

She is survived by: her children, Todd Leitner (Kris) and Cheryl Olson (Scott); her husband Tom; her brother Chuck; and her siblings-in-law, Dottie Stade, Judy Buhrow, Sally Sunleaf, Eleanor Leitner, Ralph Buhrow and Rick Sunleaf. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church, Elgin, Illinois or St. Peters Lutheran Church, Gilberts, Illinois.
