He is survived by: his wife Mary Alender of Bethalto; his son David Alender (Deborah) of Staunton, Illinois; his son-in-law John Baggio of Gillespie; his grandchildren, Natalie Disch (Dennis) of St. Jacob, Nicole Faller (Chad) of Charleston and Samuel Alender of Staunton, Illinois; his great grandchild Nolan Faller; and his niece Sheila Alender of Albuquerque.
