It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Plovich of Gillespie, Illinois, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Plovich and Dorothy Savant Plovich; his former wife Lorraine Plovich (Benedetti); and his brother Terry Dean Plovich. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Plovich of Gillespie, IL; his daughters, Tami Noll (Jeff) of Edwardsville, IL and Jacki Cerkoski (Tom) of St. George, UT; his stepsons, Eric Bowles (Marta) of Hinsdale, IL and Jeff Bowles (Lynne) of San Diego, CA; his grandchildren, Holly Yotter, Kellen Kolesar, Ian Bowles (Megan), Dr. Eva Bowles (Nick Smith), Mattison Cerkoski, Emily Cerkoski (Nathan Gray), Garis Bowles and Emerson Bowles; his great grandchildren, Zyan Kolesar, Jett Kolesar, Scarlett Yotter and Anderson Bowles; and his sister-in-law JoAnn Plovich. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
