He is survived by: his children, Shane Stoddard (Danielle Fisko) of Benld, Illinois, Paige Stoddard (Matt Rauzi) of Gillespie, Illinois and Taylor Stoddard (Jessica Floyd) of Gillespie, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Logan Miller (Whitney Miller), Bailey Stoddard, Sadie Stoddard and Carter Stoddard; his great grandchildren, Aubrei, Danni and Bradlee; and his siblings, Steve Stoddard, Sharah Kayser (Philip Kayser), Tony Stoddard (Christi Stoddard) and Christy Besserman (Mark Besserman).

Memorial donations may be made in Rodney's honor to Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Wounded Warrior Project.
