He is survived by: his grandchildren, Christopher Johnson (Tasha), Kate Foster (Michael), Sam Nichols (Sarah), Joe Nichols (Emily), Rachell Hurd, Rebecca Swise, Paul Nichols (Katy), Britta Johnson (Mitch), T. J. Bindseil and Isabelle Bindseil; his sister Patricia Riggs (Phil) of Charlotte; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Foster of Colorado and Barbara Foster of Galesburg. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
