He was predeceased by: his father Loyd Cole; his wife Betty Lou Proctor Cole; his siblings, Merle Cole, Harlan "Termite" Cole, Marvin Cole, Naomi Lancaster and Betty Nation; and his mother Margaret Cole-Schwab.
He is survived by: his daughters, LaDale Cole of Pontiac, IL, Debbie Cole of Girard, IL, Lisa Cole of Virden, IL and Tammie Thornton of Girard, IL; and his sister Velma "Gerry" Lambert of Argenta, IL. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the VFW, Elks, and Moose Clubs in Carlinville, IL.
