Fred Garst Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred Garst of Girard, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on December 16, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Alpheus Garst and Sadie Garst (Lutz); and his siblings, Elmer (Lyla), Leta Sims (Les), Melvin "Hap" (Imogene), Clarence (May), David (Norma) and Earl (Phyllis).
He is survived by : his friend Carolyn Williams (Bob). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Girard Library, one of his favorite local treasures.
