He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fredrick and Elsie Mae Ashbaugh; and his brothers, Austin, Chester and Clyde Ashbaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia Rhodes (Reiher); his children, Becky Woodworth (Steve) of Winchester, IL, Carol Redpath of Alexander, IL and Gary Ashbaugh of Springfield, IL; and his stepchildren, Linda Hebart of Madison, WS, Lori Kolsto (Nate) of Carlinville, IL and Scott McKaig (Mary) of Maryville, IL. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Girard Fire and Rescue.
