Eugene Soto Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eugene Soto of Glen Carbon, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 12, 2026 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eugene Soto to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carmona and Maria Socorro Carmona (Soto). He is survived by: his wife Nadiya Soto of Glen Carbon, Illinois; his children, Michelle Schaepperkoetter (David) of Granite City, Manuel Soto (Sylvia) of Glen Carbon, Michael Soto (Malena) of Imperial, Iryna Baumann (Clay) of Highland and Sergiy Soto (Kate) of O'Fallon, Illinois; his siblings, John Soto Jr. of St. Louis, Rebecca Delgado (Roger) of St. Louis and Jessica Liszewski (Mike) of Glen Carbon, Illinois; his grandchildren, Manuel K. Soto (Michelle), Dmytro Baumann and Elizabeth Baumann; his great grandchildren, Michael A. Soto, Mariana Soto and Quinn Donets; and his granddaughter Johanna. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel (3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A Mass will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church (155 N Main St, Glen Carbon, IL 62034).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to a charity of the donor's choice. Keep Eugene's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
