He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Herget Switzer and Marjorie Pierce Switzer; his former wife Carol Jean Fortney of Oak Park, Illinois.; and his stepdaughter Jolene Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Iris Bennett Switzer; his son Neil Switzer; his daughter-in-law PJ of Fountain Valley, California; his grandsons, Jeffrey, Zachary and Charles; his stepdaughter Candice Bennett of Locust Grove, Georgia; and his sisters, JoAnn McCarthy of Olympia, Washington, Susan Spencer of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Cathy Kemper of Richmond, Texas.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
