He was predeceased by : his father William Gene Skinner; his brother Jeffrey William Skinner; his sister-in-law Elizabeth "Betty" Skinner; and his father-in-law Don Pfaff. He is survived by : his wife Bette A. Skinner (Pfaff); his stepfather Georgianne (John Obucina); his children, Katy Lance (Cody) of Collinsville, Kory Skinner (Hayley Parker) of Madison and Krissy Skinner of Glen Carbon; his grandchildren, Willow and Drake; his siblings, Susan Jost (Glenn) of Valley Glen, Anne Trent (Neil) of Columbia, Paula Elmore (Darrell) of Troy and Gregory Obucina (Christa) of Troy; his mother-in-law Kathy Pfaff of Granite City; and his sister-in-law Susan Presswood (Randy) of Granite City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
