She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Pfeiffer and Christina Pfeiffer (Knachstedt); her husband Charles A. "Chuck" Mitchell; her son-in-law Beverly (Larry Horstmeyer); and her brother Gordon Pfeiffer.
She is survived by: her son Robert E.; her daughter-in-law Shirley Wiggins of Collinsville; her daughter Janet; her son-in-law Steve Giebe of Collinsville; her grandchildren, Traci Andrews, Larry C. Horstmeyer, Kristin Bettorf (Mike), Ryan Wiggins (Kaity), Tara Giebe and Nick Wiggins (Paeton Wantuch); and her great grandchildren, Brooke, Jayden, Tayler, Hadley, Sinjin, Sunny and River.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nameoki United Methodist Church (1900 Pontoon Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
