It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis E. Thompson of Glen Carbon, Illinois, who passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Sutton and Cleo Sutton (Schmidt); her husband Jim Thompson; her son David Thompson; and her sisters, Lela Vogel and Dorothy Gilbert.
She is survived by: her daughter Missy Gorniak (Brian) of Glen Carbon, Illinois; her granddaughters, Jaclyn OConnor (Mike), Meghan, Lexi and Shelby; her great grandchildren, Lucas and Alise OConnor; and her brother Waldo Sutton (Beverly) of McAllen. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials can be made to Missy Gorniak, for the placement of a bench and tree in a local walking trail area and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
