With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ralph David Champion of Glen Carbon, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Champion and Peggy Champion (Hurst); his wife Mary; and his sister Linda West (Champion). He is survived by: his children, Ralph Champion, Jr. (Kelly) of Hampton, VA, Michele Dunning (William) of Lincoln, RI and Stephen Champion (Elizabeth) of Davenport, FL; his grandchildren, Brittney Fairweather (TJ), Tiffini Martz (Connor), Deborah Dunning (Carly Joseph), Suzanne Dunning, John "Jack" Dunning, Samantha Champion, Nathaniel Dunning and Erin Champion; his great grandchildren, Emily and Owen Fairweather; and his sister-in-law Judy Gagliardo. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weber & Rodney Funeral Home (304 N Main St, Edwardsville, IL 62025). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials to Immanuel United Church of Christ in Hamel.
