He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Bloomquist and Kathryn Bloomquist; and his wife Karen. He is survived by: his children, Erik Bloomquist, Rolf Bloomquist (Pamella) and Elizabeth Urton (Michael); his grandchildren, Björn, Britta, Annika Bloomquist, Sophia, Andrew and Matthias Urton; his sisters, Rhoda McLaughlin (late Thomas) and Miriam Kline (Otis); his sisters-in-law, Joanne Cornelius (late Gerald) and Dorothy Muscalino (Thomas); and his nieces and nephews, Kathy, Jenny, Michelle, Katie, Kristi, Randy and Jonathan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Glen Ellyn Evangelical Covenant Church (277 Hawthorne Blvd, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137).
