He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra J; his son Steve; and his siblings, Mary, Larry, Patrick, Jack and Matt.
He is survived by: his children, James Jr. (Carol), Phillip (Caryn), Nancy Cronin (Kevin), Maureen Hunt (Bill), Gary Mills (Phyllis) and Kathleen; his grandchildren, Michael, James, Sarah, Rachel, Carly, Robert, Jessica, Stormy, Melissa, Aaron, Alan, Laura, Ryan, John, Justin, Rebekah, Sandra and Elijah; and his nephew Danny (Linda).
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Gospel Fellowship (220 IL Rte-83 Bensenville, IL). A burial was held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at the Mount Emblem Cemetery (520 E Grand Ave, Elmhurst, IL 60126).
