He is survived by: his wife Harriet Ellen Vieth; his sons, Matthew Sheaffer (Peg) of Monroe, WI and Andrew Sheaffer (Jessica) of Evanston, IL; his siblings, Christena Sheaffer (Connie Miller) of Crete, IL, John Sheaffer (Tim Baack) of Milwaukee, WI, Janine Johnson (Dan) of Downers Grove, IL and Peter Sheaffer (Karen) of Lakeland, FL; his siblings-in-law, Carol Vieth (Fred Coffey) and Gordon Vieth (Rohini); his siblings' children, Mark, Aaron, Ben, Adam, Luke, Martin, Eric, Alex, Sarah and Samina; and his grandchildren, Avery, Laurel, Ruby, Gwendolyn and Cecelia.
