She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Sommer and Helen Sommer; her husband James E. Doyle; and her daughter Susan (Steve Kafka). She is survived by: her children, Lawrence (Phyllis), Lee Birnbaum (Brian), Thomas (Deborah), Daniel (Lisa) and Patrick (Mary); and her brother Paul Sommer. She is also survived by four nieces and nephews.
