Phyllis will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Though Phyllis is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Phyllis’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Walter Elwood Vail; her friends, George Seagal and Stephen Sondheim; and her husband Melville.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Arc Center in Reed-Kepler Park (201 W National St, West Chicago, IL 60185). She formed her own dog training company (NewFriend Dog Obedience) which lasted until COVID.
