We announce the death of Richard Winans of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Winans and Christine Winans (Nussbaum) of Joliet; and his siblings, Dolores Janis, Marilyn Meekma and Robert Winans.
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla "Peri" Winans (May); his children, Laura, John, Paul and David; and his grandchildren, Madeleine Lee Skura, Frank, George Skura, Nate Lee (Molly Henry Lee), Ian Winans, Emma Winans, Allison Winans and Sarah Winans.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Leonard Memorial Funeral Home & Cremations (565 Duane St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Petronille Catholic Church (420 Glenwood Ave, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137).
