He is survived by: his wife Karen Peterson-Schutz; his brother Bob (Susie); his daughters, Aimee (Peter) and Robyn (Mike); his stepson David (Arianna); and his grandchildren, Ellie, Jace, Cole Miller, Emma, Jack, Luke Beres, Connor and Logan Peterson.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 20th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Kenilworth Union Church (211 Kenilworth Ave, Kenilworth, IL 60043). A reception will be held on Friday, November 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Skokie Country Club (500 Washington Ave, Glencoe, IL 60022).
