She was predeceased by: her parents, Zygmund Bucinski and Maria Bucinski; and her sisters, Jadwiga Kaluza and Sabina Birmingham. She is survived by: her husband Walter Malek; her children, Elizabeth Hosfield (Micheal Hosfield) and Richard Malek (Lorette Malek); her grandchildren, Gordie Malek, Nyki Malek and Natalia Hosfield; and her brother Mitch Bucinski.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Norbert & Our Lady of the Brook (1809 Walters Ave, Northbrook, IL 60062).
