We announce the death of Carolyn McCracken Forough of Northbrook, Illinois, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 72. Carolyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She is survived by: her husband Cyrus Forough; her daughter Natalie Forough; and her brother Donald McCracken.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the N. H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home (1240 Waukegan Rd, Glenview, IL 60025).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Carolyn McCracken Forough's name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (https://www.nationalmssociety.org) or to Songs By Heart Foundation which improves the quality of life of individuals suffering from memory loss through the joy and power of music, and brought Carolyn tremendous joy and comfort at home in her final years battling dementia.
