He was predeceased by: his father Don Alkema. He is survived by: his mother Judy Alkema; his children, Harper and Sullivan; his sister Maribeth Johnson (Jeremy); and his sibling's children, Keyes and Kelsey.
A prayer will be held on Wednesday, January 21st 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (1775 Grove St, Glenview, IL 60025).
Instead of flowers or donations, Doug's wish was that you slow down, step away from the rush of life, and make a cherished memory with someone who matters to you.
