He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Vernon and Elswith Slusher; his siblings, Joan and Dexter; his son-in-law Calvin; and his grandchild Sinterius.
He is survived by: his wife Chelvana Vernon; his children, Aisha Culler (Trenton), Glenda Vernon, Chelvana Jnobaptiste (Erol), Ladonna Brown-Vernon (Lamont) and Goldburn Vernon Jr. (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Malik, Dajah, Tamera, Warnell, Kontrell, Xavier, Destiny, Edward, Erial, Kimiah, Ziah, Lamyra, Lamont Jr., Sha'Mya, Mikayla, Gavin and Logan; his siblings, Edward Vernon, Morna Young, Glenda Young, Janice Young and Emmeth Young; his brothers-in-law, Andre Tellis and Aaron Tellis; his cousin Claudis Bowen; and his brother Nelo Nightingale. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the N. H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home (1240 Waukegan Rd, Glenview, IL 60025). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
