With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joan D. Gilbert (Glenview, Illinois), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Dugan and Barbara Dugan. She is survived by: her husband Dana Gilbert; her children, Tommy, Robert (Graice Van Spankeren) and Ellen Gilbert; and her brother Bob Dugan (Sue).
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the N. H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home (1240 Waukegan Rd, Glenview, IL 60025). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Norbert and Our Lady of the Brook Parish (1809 Walters Ave, Northbrook, IL 60062).
