He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Spalding and Eleonora Spalding (Barth); his former wife Patricia; his sister Mary Picchi; and his grandson Steven.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Spalding; his children, Tom (Carol Brown), Mart Jr. (Judi), Jim (Karin), Mary (Mark Lazar), Martha, Michael (Mikaela), Joanne and John (Thawivann); and his stepdaughter Tessy Aly (Santiago). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the N. H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home (1240 Waukegan Rd, Glenview, IL 60025). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (1775 Grove St, Glenview, IL 60025).
