She was predeceased by: her husband Jim Young; her parents, Clarence Serb and Frances Serb; and her grandson Matthias Young. She is survived by: her children, Eileen, Jim and Jerry; her children-in-law, Dennis McBride, Melissa Chatfield and Mandy John; her granddaughters, Amy, Zoe McBride and Ella Young; and her siblings, Tom Serb and Ginny Cox.
