He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Margaret "Peg" O'Rourke (Carol Mensinger), Sheila Maher (late Jerry), Sharon Pierce (James), Dr. Michael O'Rourke (Lisa) and Dr. Brian O'Rourke (Courtney Wilemon); his grandchildren, Katie, Tommy Maher, Madeline, Ryan, Sean, Grace O'Rourke, Abby and Molly O'Rourke; and his siblings, Patricia O'Rourke, Tom O'Rourke (Barbara) and Jim O'Rourke (Maureen).
