She was predeceased by : her spouse Jerry Swearingen; her siblings-in-law, Dallas Swearingen (Mary), Wayne Swearingen (Kay), Wava Hayes (Shorty) and Zelma Rose Travers (Bob); her niece Christine Thomas (Larry); and her nephew Jimmy Swearingen.

She is survived by : her children, Julie Higgins and Greg Swearingen; her grandchild Jorden Higgins; her sister-in-law Wanda Weinrich (late Bill); and her nieces and nephews, Rod Hayes (Cheryl), Nancy Kelly (John), Leslie Rhoades (Bill), Bradley Swearingen (Rita), Brenda Pruett (late Wayne), Janet Fruit (Paul), Dean Slayback and Mickey Travers (Anne).
