He was predeceased by: his father Theodore Cowen II; his brothers, Larry and Peter (Chris); and his spouse Lynn Harvalis. He is survived by: his children, Todd (Laura) and Angelynn Kitzerow (Nicolas); his grandchildren, Emily, Ryan Cowen, Sawyer, Catherine and Josephine Kitzerow; his parent Laurie Cowen; his siblings, Marsha Hosfeld (late Roger), Tony (Julie) and Marty (Traci); his siblings-in-law, Fran Harvalis, Dean Harvalis (Pat) and Connie Pawlowski (Dave); and his children, Angie and Ted.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Simkins Funeral Home (6251 Dempster St, Morton Grove, IL 60053-2818). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1775 Grove St, Glenview, IL 60025).
