He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvis Lovell and Viola Lovell (Craigmile); and his siblings, Bea Monroe, Betty Cardwell, Carol Brinkman and Russel Lovell (Ola).
He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his son Doug Lovell; his brother-in-law Mike Brinkman; his goddaughters, Jennifer (Chris), Link (Josie), Abbigail (Brian), Battuello (Vincent) and Olivia Roggio (Wade); and his adoptive daughter Deanna Roggio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home - Godfrey (1313 W Delmar Ave, Godfrey, IL 62035). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospital.
