As Doris departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Doris leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Murphy and Vera Murphy (Lowe); her husband Marvin Tennikait; her son Kert Tennikait; and her brothers-in-law, Johnny Ingold and Harold Bright.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Tennikait (Justina) of Bethalto and Barbara Starman of Roxana; her daughter-in-law Janet Tennikait of Alton; and her sister Martha Bright of Bethalto. She is also survived by five grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's United Church of Christ in Wood River.
