He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Bennett and Ada Bennett (Gross). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Bennett (Pointer); and his sister-in-law Betty Bennett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Medora.
