It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Gene Weigel of Godfrey, Illinois, born in Golden Eagle, Illinois, who passed away on June 2, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Weigel and Beulah Weigel (Weishaupt); his brother-in-law Duane Mossman; and his niece Lisa L'Abbate. He is survived by : his sister Yvonne Mossman; his niece Lori McMahon; his great-nephews, Collin McMahon (Elisa), Patrick McMahon (Kelly), Michael McMahon (Natalie), Philip Yatvin (Elizabeth), Luciano L'Abbate and Frankie L'Abbate; and his great-niece Allison Yatvin.

Memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Brussels, IL or to a charity of choice.
