It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Louise Bixen (Godfrey, Illinois), born in Dorsey, Illinois, who passed away on February 18, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Aljets and Elizabeth Aljets (Johnson); her husband Harold Bixen; her son Robert Bixen; and her siblings, Marguerite Fechte, Esther Hoffstetter and Frederick Aljets.

She is survived by : her children, Janet Francis (David) of Alton and John Bixen of Alton; her daughter-in-law Kara Bixen of Dorsey; her grandchildren, Lukas Bixen of Dorsey and Brittany Ginn (Steven) of Canton, GA; her great grandchildren, Avrie Ginn and Hudson Ginn of Canton, GA; her sister Ruth Kuethe of Alton; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Spickerman of Bunker Hill.
