With sadness, we share the passing of Jack G. Kirn of Golden Eagle, Illinois. Jack, born on November 23, 1933, passed away on August 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sr. Kirn and Mayme Kirn (Kary); his siblings, Darlene Kirn Logan, Carl Kirn Jr. Floyd Kirn, Robert Kirn, Margie Kirn, Patricia Kirn Bruce and Fred Kirn; and his son-in-law Emil Kuhn.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Joann (Oettle); his children, Terry Kirn (Donna), Debbie Weinman (Wess), Cindy Kuhn (Emil) and Susan Rose (Steve); his grandchildren, Jeremy Kirn (Ann), Brent Kirn (Lauren Lampertti), Chris Kasinger (Heather), Keith Kasinger (Christy), Ariel Miller (Greg), Ashley Affholder (Cody), Lindsey Tapp (James) and Haley Weber (Kurtis); and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Carl, Aubrie Kirn, Cash Kasinger, Mason, MaKenzie Kasinger, Iva Miller, Cohen, Cole Affholder, Lincoln, Maverick, Clyde Tapp and Kaden Weber. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home - Brussels (145 Community Ave, Brussels, IL 62013). A Mass was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (115 Main St, Brussels, IL 62013). A burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cresswell Cemetery.
