He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Walton and Irene Elizabeth Walton (Goodwin); his wife Patricia A. Berry; his son-in-law Randy Lummer; and his siblings, Edward Walton, Larry Walton, Shirley Warning, Gary Walton and Mike Walton.
He is survived by: his children, R. Scott Walton (Linda) of Quincy, IL, Joni L. Truex (Dale) of Atwood, IN and Kelly M. Lummer of Camp Point, IL; his grandchildren, Amber Hill, Adam Walton (Tosha), Cory Truex (Christina), Kristen Pruitt (Brandon), Col. R. Arron Lummer (Melinda), Eric Lummer (Misty) and Evan Lummer (Angela); and his siblings, Lois French of Missouri and Raymond Walton of Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to the Golden Good Shepherd Home Activities Fund.
