Arletha Dowactor Obituary

The passing of Arletha Dowactor of Good Hope, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 28, 2025 at the age of 84. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Arletha shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Arletha farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Perkins and White; her husband Sidney Richard Dowacter; her son Dannie Dowacter; and her siblings, Bill Murfin and Celia Scott.

She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Dowacter Chase (Mike) of Good Hope, IL, Carolyn Grove (Randy) of Good Hope, IL and Diana Lynn Dowacter of Macomb, IL.. She is also survived by Nine great grandchildren and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Plymouth Circle Community Center (102 S Lexington St, Plymouth, IL 62367). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Good Hope Fire and Rescue, Good Hope, IL or McDonough District Hospital Hospice, Macomb, IL.
