Barbara Simpson Obituary

Barbara Simpson, 85, of Good Hope passed away at 2:25 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at St. John's Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born on March 3, 1935 in Galesburg. She married Roger Simpson n December 10, 1966 in Bushnell. He passed away on April 30, 2013.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mark Powelson; one granddaughter, Misty Dawn Foster; one brother; three sisters and one sister in infancy.

She is survived by her children, Mischelle (Curt) Miller of Macomb, Roger (Rhonda) Simpson, Jr of Bushnell, Deborah Lee of LaHarpe and John Simpson of Macomb; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Barbara was raised by her grandparents Leslie and Ruby Starkey. She has lived in Good Hope since 1966. She worked at Delbert's Grocery and Harper's Gas Station in Good Hope.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Good Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Good Hope Fire and Rescue Squad.
