He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Carman and Nellie Carman (Henson); his wife Daisy Hansen (Pynes); and his son Dennis Carman. He is survived by: his children, Gail Johnson (Charles) of Campbellsville, Joan Arnold (Colby) of Lancaster, Marty Fannin (Anselma) of Pontiac, David Hansen (Kathy), Wis, Angela Worrell (Chris) of Hendersonville, N. C. and Glenda Goddard (Kirt) of Goodfield; and his grandchildren, Shannon, Carmen, Sarah, Maggie, Logan, Anna, Asia, Alec, Morgan, Carli, Heather, Zane and Amanda. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Morton, 900 E. Jefferson St., Morton, IL 61550.
