It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence Edward Hawthorne of Goodwine, Illinois, who passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alva Leroy and Mary Jane Hawthorne (Miller); his brother Michael Hawthorne; his former wife Elizabeth A. Alcorn; his wife Libby Hawthorne of Goodwine; his daughters, Michelle Linder (Mark) of Texas, Stacie Trumann (Michael) of Milford and Nicole Erp (Jeremy) of Paris, Illinois; his grandchildren, Brianna Linder, Joshua Linder, Emily Trumann, Zane Trumann and Luke Trumann; his great grandchildren, Ruegar Menschel and Lorelai Menschel; his siblings, Nancy Lee of Milford, Steve Hawthorne of Milford and Rosie Allen of Woodland; and his siblings-in-law, Don Alcorn, Rebecca Baker, Robert Rogers, William Rogers and James Rogers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Milford Christian Church (811 E Hickory St, Milford, IL 60953).
Memorials may be made to the Milford Christian Church or Iroquois Memorial Hospice.
