With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Chris A. Kirby of Goreville, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Chris left this world on April 23, 2025 at the age of 70, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Gene and Catherine Kirby (Green). He is survived by: his wife Renee; his daughter Kimberly Caldwell (Jason); his siblings, Rita Motsinger, Kira Franklin and Tracy Kirby (Diane); his grandson Timothy (Teddie); and his close friend Roland "Sonny" Studer (Mimi). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Blue Funeral Home - Goreville (812 S Broadway, Goreville, IL 62939). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM and from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Cana Cemetery (16337-16663 Canaville Rd, Creal Springs, IL 62922).
In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests with gratitude that memorial donations be directed to the family to help with final expenses.
