It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Horn (Grand Chain, Illinois), who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Lee and Rose Ann Horn (Rider); and his friend Roger Green. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Horn; his daughters, Christina Cole (Jason), Sarah Harris (Stephen), Tina Bodunde and Karon Hooks; his siblings, Doris Martin (Jack), Leonard Horn (Kim), Janice Cameron (Gordon), Terri Veach (Lloyd), Carl Horn (Rhonda), Walter Horn (Charlotte) and Ronnie Inman; and his close friend Leon Wilson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hillerman Baptist Church (4112 Hillerman Rd, Grand Chain, IL 62941). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
