Robert Stephen Durdan Obituary
We announce the death of Robert Stephen Durdan of Grand Ridge, Illinois, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 81. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Durdan and Edna Durdan; his siblings, Mary Nichols (Lyle), Jim Durdan (Marilyn) and Bill Durdan; and his granddaughter Rachel Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl (Vogel); his children, Tim Durdan (Amy), Christie Miller (Eugene), Sherrie Martini (Tom), Karen Conness (Chris) and Paul Durdan (Mandy); and his sister-in-law Phyllis Durdan. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Mueller Funeral Home (800 1st Ave, Ottawa, IL 61350). A prayer will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 9:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary of the Fields Church (2098 E 22nd Rd, Grand Ridge, IL 61325).
Memorials may be directed to the Grand Ridge Volunteer Fire Department or Marquette Academy.
